Skimono Beauty Masks - 11th June 2021
Less is more.
Keeping your make-up low-key for the summer.
The temperature is rising as we head into the balmy summer-months and its not only our wardrobe’s that need to be adjusted but also our beauty routines. During hot weather, perspiration causes our pores to open meaning they are more likely to get clogged with dirt and other bacteria that causes breakouts. To keep skin looking flawless it’s therefore paramount to keep makeup to a minimal level, letting the skin’s natural glow shine thorough.
Here’s our top beauty tips for the summer:
Back to basics.
Good skin starts with your routine, ensuring that you’ve nailed your basic cleansing and moisturising routine means that you’ll start with fresh complexion. Use Skimono’s advanced moisturisation+ mask weekly to restore soft, even skin tone plus with it’s infusion of hyaluronic acid and rose extract keeps skin hydrated and rejuvenated.
With your flawless skin prepped and primed from incorporating Skimono into your beauty routine, you won’t need to slather on a full-coverage foundation – use a light tinted moisturiser or an anti-redness cc cream as an alternative to a heavy base. Combine with a brow gel or pencil, a couple of layers of mascara and a liquid-based highlighter for a dewy finish to complete your look.
SPF every day. (even when it’s cloudy)
Protecting skin from the sun is the most important thing you can do to protect from premature ageing. Not only should you keep your face out of the sun (especially between 11am and 3pm) but wearing a high SPF of 30 or above with broad spectrum specification is crucial to your everyday skincare routine.
Through perspiration we lose water and electrolytes, such as Sodium and chloride, so it’s vital to keep ourselves hydrated with at least 8 pints of water plus eating salty foods to replace the electrolytes that have essential roles in the body.
Protect after those mishaps
Sometimes a little too much sun happens, but when it does make sure natural moisture is replenished back to the skin with a Skimono After Sun+ bio-cellulose mask. The face mask’s cooling and soothing ingredients of cucumber, eidelweiss and aloe vera repairs and protects dry, damaged skin whilst providing deep hydration which is vital for sun-burnt skin.
